Perps and yield
Axiom portfolio and PnL
Axiom keeps two portfolios, one for spot and one for perpetuals, so you can see which kind of trading is actually making you money. Both show a PnL chart, open positions and history, but the columns differ because the risks differ. This guide explains each panel and how to use the numbers to improve, not just to admire them.
Spot portfolio
| Panel | What it shows | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Balance | Total portfolio value, available balance, unrealised PnL | Available balance is what you can still deploy; unrealised PnL is not yours until you sell |
| PnL chart | Performance over time | A rising line with big dips tells a different story from a steady one at the same end point |
| Performance metrics | Total PnL and number of transactions, grouped by profitability range | Shows whether you make many small wins and a few catastrophic losses, which is the common pattern |
| Active positions | Each held token: amount bought, sold, remaining, PnL % | Remaining balance in tokens that have gone quiet is dead capital |
| Activity feed | Recent buys and sells with token, amount, market cap and age, linked to Solscan | The audit trail for any trade you want to understand |
Perps portfolio
| Panel | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Performance | All-time volume, total PnL and number of trades |
| Account value | Balance available for perps, in USDC on Hyperliquid |
| PnL chart | Profit trend over time |
| Open positions | Entry price, mark price, liquidation price, margin used, take-profit and stop-loss |
| Trade history | Closed trades with their results |
The liquidation price column is the one to check every time you open the page. If the mark price is drifting toward it, add margin, reduce size or set a stop before the exchange decides for you. The perps guide has the arithmetic.
Reading PnL honestly
- Unrealised is not real. A memecoin position showing +300% is worth whatever the pool will pay when you sell, which on a thin pool is much less. Trader Scan's realised PnL is the number that counts.
- Count fees. Axiom's 1% each way plus network fees is a hurdle that the PnL percentage on a single position does not show. The fees page prices a round trip.
- Look at the distribution. The profitability ranges panel exists because averages hide the truth. Many traders are net positive on count and net negative on money.
- Use the Solscan links. When a trade's result does not match your memory of it, the activity feed's link to the transaction settles it.
Per-wallet views
With multi-wallet, the dashboard can be viewed per wallet. Comparing the trading wallet's curve against the degen wallet's is the quickest way to find out which strategy you should stop running.
Portfolio FAQ
Why are spot and perps portfolios separate?
Axiom's docs say they are kept separate so you can analyse which type of trading is levelling up your portfolio. They are also different balances: SOL on Solana versus USDC on Hyperliquid.
Does the PnL include fees?
Axiom's docs do not specify. Treat displayed PnL as before network costs and verify important numbers on Solscan.
Can I export my trade history?
Axiom's docs do not describe an export. The activity feed links each trade to Solscan, and your wallet address on Solscan gives the complete on-chain record.
Where is the liquidation price shown?
In the Open Positions section of the perps portfolio, alongside entry price, mark price, margin and TP/SL.
