Getting started
How to deposit on Axiom Trade
Axiom is a wallet, so a deposit is simply a transfer of SOL to your Axiom address on the Solana network. If you do not hold any crypto yet, the Buy button inside Axiom uses Coinbase and is documented at up to $500 a week without identity checks. Both routes are covered below, with the mistakes that lose people money.
Option 1: send SOL from an exchange or wallet
Copy your Axiom address
Open the wallet panel from the top right of the terminal and copy the Solana address. Every Axiom wallet has one.
Withdraw SOL from your exchange on the Solana network
On Coinbase, Binance, Kraken or similar, choose SOL, paste the address, and select the Solana network. Do not select any other network and do not send a different coin.
Send a small test first
0.05 SOL is enough to prove the route. Solana transfers normally arrive in under a minute. Once it shows in Axiom, send the rest.
Only SOL, only on Solana. Sending SOL over a different network, or sending another token your exchange labels "SOL", can mean permanent loss. If your exchange offers "Solana (SPL)" USDC, that will arrive in your Axiom wallet too, but you still need SOL in the wallet to pay for anything.
Option 2: buy through Coinbase inside Axiom
Click the arrow button at the top right, then Deposit
Axiom's docs describe this as the entry point.
Click Buy and enter an amount of SOL
Axiom states the limit as up to $500 without KYC. Coinbase handles the card payment in a popup.
Follow the Coinbase instructions
The SOL arrives in your Axiom wallet when the purchase completes.
Axiom's FAQ describes the limit as $500 per week. Coinbase's own pricing applies to the purchase and is not an Axiom fee.
How much to deposit
Enough for the trades you plan plus a permanent buffer. Every action on Solana costs SOL: buys, sells, conversions and transfers all need the base fee plus Axiom's default 0.001 SOL priority fee and 0.001 SOL bribe. Holding 0.02 to 0.05 SOL above whatever you intend to trade avoids the most common error on the platform, "insufficient SOL balance to cover priority fee and bribe fee". More on that in transaction failed.
Depositing for perps
Perpetuals use USDC on Hyperliquid, not SOL on Solana. Once SOL is in your Axiom wallet, the SOL–USDC button at the top right converts it into Hyperliquid margin. That is a separate step covered in the perps guide and in convert SOL and USDC.
Deposit not showing?
- Paste your Axiom address into Solscan. If the incoming transfer is listed and confirmed, refresh Axiom or log out and in.
- If nothing is listed, check the exchange's withdrawal status. Exchanges sometimes hold Solana withdrawals for review.
- If the exchange says "completed" but Solscan shows nothing at your address, you may have sent to the wrong address or network. Contact the exchange first; Axiom cannot reverse on-chain transfers.
Deposit FAQ
What is the minimum deposit on Axiom?
Axiom's docs state no minimum. Practically, you need enough SOL to cover your intended trade plus fees and a small buffer.
Can I deposit USDC instead of SOL?
Solana USDC sent to your address will show in the wallet, but you cannot trade or even convert it without SOL to pay the network fee. Deposit at least a little SOL as well.
Can I deposit from Phantom?
Yes. Send SOL from Phantom to your Axiom address like any other transfer. If you imported your Axiom phrase into Phantom, the two show the same wallet and no transfer is needed.
Does Axiom charge a deposit fee?
No. You pay your exchange's withdrawal fee and the Solana network fee, or Coinbase's pricing if you buy through the on-ramp.
